16 Months Old

sleeping habits:
All three sleep soundly in their cribs from 7:30 p.m.--7:30 a.m.

Naps remain inconsistent. Some days include two shorter naps. Other days are one long early afternoon nap. If Jackson did not have preschool, they would nap from 11/11:30-1:30/2 every day.

eating habits: 
8:30 a.m.- sippy cup of soy milk with breakfast (fruit, french toast, waffle, cheese, cereal, etc)

12:30 or 1:30 (depending on if they wake up in time before preschool pick up or not).
     sippy cup of water with lunch (quesadilla, grilled ham and cheese, pb&j, etc)

5:30 p.m.--sippy cup of soy milk with dinner (table food)

We eliminated the night time bottle at 15 months.

physical milestones:
James-cruises with one hand, climbs stairs and slides, walks part time/crawls part time
Amelia-walks (no more crawling), changes direction while walking, walks over objects, climbs up stairs, scoots on her bottom down stairs
Maddie-walks (no more crawling), changes direction while walking, walks over objects, climbs up stairs, goes backwards down single stairs

teeth:
James-10 (six top teeth including top molars, four bottom including molars)
Amelia-10 (six top teeth including top molars, four bottom including molars)
Maddie-7 (four top, three bottom)

sizes:
James-size 12-18 month clothes, size 4 shoes
Amelia-size 12-18 month cloths, size 3 shoes
Maddie-size 12-18 month clothes, size 2 shoes

language/communication:
James-gestures to come, blows kisses, claps, says "mama", "dada"
Amelia-waves, claps, gestures to come, says "mama", "dada", "mine", "thank you"
Maddie-waves, blows kisses, claps, gestures to come, yells "mom" and "dad"

challenges:
-beginning to have temper tantrums
-fight over toys and attention

special notes:
-Second annual beach trip-played in pool, walked/crawled on sand
-Halloween-dressed up with Jackson as Ninja Turtles
-Maddie was exited from neurologist and has decreased PT to every other week
-Another heart murmur was heard on Maddie, but EKG results came back normal
