A Loving Father ♥

This guy drives me crazy.  Almost always.

Despite any arguments we ever have, I LOVE being able to watch Jesse evolve as a father.  He was a great dad with one kid, but an even better one with four kids.  Very few people get to see the silly or affectionate side of Jesse, but it's what made me fall in love with him.  My love only multiplies by being able to see this side more.

It's rare for either one of us to eat a meal without holding a baby.  Jesse generally ends up with a baby and Jackson in his lap before he finishes his own meal.  He never shows frustration or irritation.  We've both been forced to increase our patience and flexibility.

As the babies have become more interactive, Jesse is much more hands-on.  I love watching him play and tickle the kids.  Nothing is better than watching my boys laugh.

Many of the triplet moms complain about their husband's not taking initiative or helping out with the children, especially if they work all day.  Jesse gets up at 5 a.m. every day to exercise before work, teaches all day, comes home, and spends time with the kids.  He has woken up every single night to feed James and Amelia while I pump and feed Maddie.

We've both had to master multitasking.  There aren't too many dads that can cuddle with one child, read a book to another, feed yet another child, and look this good all at the same time.

While it was a major source of irritation and miscommunication, I've even grown to love the tattoo Jesse designed to honor the births of each of our children.  Again, not too many dads are willing to have symbols of their children permanently displayed on their forearms.

Spending the last two weeks together as a family included many memorable highlights.  Best of all, our winter break ended on a joyful note with a renewed sense of intimacy and partnership in our marriage.
